You can browse without an account. To buy or sell, sign in with Steam, verify your email, add your Steam trade URL and accept the platform policies. Buying also requires enough wallet balance; selling requires a tradable item.
Where are my skins while they are listed?
They stay in your Steam inventory. SkinOcean is a peer-to-peer marketplace: when a skin sells, the seller sends it directly to the buyer through a Steam trade offer.
How long does a trade take?
Delivery depends on the seller sending the offer and the buyer accepting it. You can follow each step in Trades. After verified delivery, seller earnings are held for a 8-day protection period before settlement.
What if the seller does not send my item?
If delivery has not been confirmed after 30 minutes, an eligible purchase can be cancelled from Trades for a wallet refund. Check the trade page for its current status and available actions, or contact support if something looks wrong.
Are there any fees when I buy?
Purchases use your wallet balance at the listed price, with no additional purchase fee. Adding funds carries a 5% processing fee, shown separately in the funding dialog.
Do all items have a float value?
Float describes wear on weapon skins and gloves. Items such as stickers and containers do not have one. Where available, float and pattern data are shown on the listing so you can compare individual items.
